There are a ton of anime where the faithful are the goodies. And then you have those from the Catholic x Tao concept that began in the 1970s. Final Fantasy and Star wars follows this concept, among several Japanese anime.

Fire Force is split in this. Don't jump the gun too early. Although that may be a safe guess with this anime. At least it seems so.

Some anime are split on religion (How not to summon a demon lord has good and bad church leaders) but many anime/games are pretty hardcore "the church is bad" (Final Fantasy Tactics, Scrapped Princess...I don't really feel like making a long list).

I really don't like Akari. The amount of selfishness that leaks out whenever Menou does something she doesn't want or doesn't do what Akari was hoping for Menou to do, really gets on my nerves.

As an veterans anime watcher who have seen so many similar situation I'll have nothing to say

I thought about several conspiracy theories in few episodes ago, can't believe one of them I suspect the most turns out to be correct.
All these times, they had been waiting for this moment.
I had been wondering, if Pure Concepts can turn an Otherworlder into a Human Disaster, then why the heck they created it that way then? The God of their world surely is powerful because he created that world and gifted those to the living things. Then, why allow Otherworlder and Pure Concepts to become the disaster for that world? Perhaps they wanted a little entertainment?

Or... perhaps there was no such thing as Pure Concepts driving Otherworlder insane on its own and cause Human Disaster?

Then, how and why??
Isn't it suspicious how the church managed to maintain as the highest authority in the world?! They don't even rule the people, I find them very suspicious and believed they came up with all those conspiracy, by forcing some Otherworlders to go out of control with their Pure Concepts by interfering and cause it to happen. THEN? Put all the blame on Otherworlder and those who summoned them.

Spread the word as this be the command of their God and the Church shall gain highest authority to set rule upon this world.
They gained power, but that isn't enough... They wanted more, what is the purpose of that room when it was mentioned?
What came into my mind is when the first Otherworlder we saw died, his body disappeared in a weird way, what if his entire existence turned into Pure Concept itself??? And the way it is fading is the power of Pure Concept shattering and leaving the ground???

WHAT IF, the church knows how to contain those Pure Concept in a container like that room and then absorb it as power of their own?

Finally, who is behind this? The Mastermind? The leader of the church? Or someone else who manipulate the church for this purpose?
